Broker Rating Methodology

This page explains how the Easy Trade Editorial Team compares trading brokers, what the order in our comparison pages means, and what it does not mean.

The five criteria we compare

We compare each broker on five criteria only, all verifiable from official sources:

  1. Legal entity and licence number: the company a trader in a given region actually contracts with, its regulator, and its registration number. One brand can operate through several entities, and the entity is what determines your protection.
  2. Minimum deposit: for each account type, as published by the broker.
  3. Costs: the spread and commission structure as published by the broker, without estimates or third-party averages.
  4. Islamic account: whether a swap-free account is available, for which countries, and on what terms.
  5. Supported platforms: MetaTrader 4 and 5 and the broker’s own platforms.

The “not disclosed” rule

Any item we cannot find on an official broker source or in the regulator’s register is marked “not disclosed”. We never replace it with an estimate or a figure copied from a third party.

How we verify a licence

Exness
  1. Read the entity name and licence number from the broker’s official website footer or client agreement.
  2. Search that name and number in the regulator’s own public register.
  3. Confirm that the entity is the one accepting clients from the region the page covers.
  4. Record the check date on the page.

What the order means

The order in comparison pages is an editorial assessment against the five criteria above. It does not measure any trader’s profits or any strategy’s performance, and it is not a recommendation to invest or to open an account with a specific broker. The right broker depends on your country of residence, trading style and capital.

What we do not rate

  • Promotions and bonuses are not part of the ranking.
  • We do not score execution speed or support quality with numbers, because we have no documented measurement of them.
  • We do not assess whether a broker suits your personal financial situation.

Updates and corrections

Data is re-checked whenever a comparison page is updated, and the last-updated date is shown at the top. If a licence or term has changed, contact us through the contact page with a link to the official source.
