Best Forex Brokers 2026: Top 10 Regulated Brokers Compared

Choosing a forex broker is the single most consequential decision in a trader’s journey, and with hundreds of brokerage firms worldwide, telling a properly licensed company apart from one that simply looks the part is not easy. The hard part is rarely the marketing — it is finding out which legal entity you will actually sign a client agreement with, and what that entity publishes about its own terms. That question gains a second layer under introducing broker arrangements, where the firm you deal with and the firm carrying the account are not the same company.

This 2026 guide covers ten global forex brokers that serve traders in the Middle East. For each one we read the official pages of the entity that serves this region and recorded what it publishes: the licence number, the minimum deposit per account type, the spread and commission format, and whether a swap-free account is offered and on which accounts. Anything the company does not publish is written here as ‘Not disclosed’ rather than replaced with an estimate.

Quick answer: the forex brokers that best serve Arabic-speaking traders by our criteria are Exness, XS and IC Markets, followed by Tickmill and FXTM. They combine international regulation (FCA, CySEC, ASIC), a low minimum deposit, an Islamic account and Arabic-language support. Exness comes first for the range of its licences and its low deposit ($10). This is informational only and not investment advice.

Risk warning: this content is educational only and is not investment advice. Trading CFDs and forex carries a high level of risk, and 72% of retail investor accounts lose money because of leverage. Only trade with money you can afford to lose.

What makes a forex broker trustworthy?

A trustworthy broker is licensed by a recognised regulator, keeps client money segregated from its own, executes orders transparently, and lets you withdraw without obstruction. The licence is the first line of defence: regulators such as the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) and the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) impose capital, disclosure and client-money segregation requirements. What matters in practice is not how many licences a group displays, but which single entity you sign the client agreement with — check that entity’s licence number on the regulator’s own website, and walk away from any firm that promises guaranteed returns, stalls withdrawals, or hides its legal entity.

How to choose a forex broker

The right broker combines a licensed entity whose licence number you can verify, clearly published trading costs, a minimum deposit that suits your capital, a platform you know, support in your language, and a swap-free account if you need one. Here is each criterion in detail.

Before opening an account anywhere, work through these seven criteria — they decide how well a broker fits what you actually need:

1. Licensing and safety

Check which legal entity will hold your account and which regulator licensed it — FCA (UK), CySEC (Cyprus), ASIC (Australia), DFSA (Dubai), CMA (UAE) and others differ in strictness. Verify the licence number on the regulator’s own register, not on the broker’s marketing page.

2. Fees and spreads

Compare the total cost: spread plus commission plus overnight financing. Some brokers publish spreads per account type, some only publish a general ‘from’ figure, and some publish nothing per pair at all — that difference matters more than a single headline number.

3. Trading platforms

Most brokers here offer MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5. Extras such as cTrader, TradingView integration, or a proprietary web platform can matter if you use algorithmic strategies or copy trading. Our guide to what TradingView integration actually gives you explains what such a connection does and does not change.

4. Deposits and withdrawals

Look at published processing times, withdrawal minimums, and any contractual right the broker reserves to charge a withdrawal fee. Several brokers publish conditions that only apply when trading activity is low.

5. Account types

A useful broker offers a range — cent or micro accounts for small balances, standard accounts with the cost inside the spread, and raw accounts with a tight spread plus a commission per lot.

6. Swap-free (Islamic) account

If you need an account without overnight interest, check not only whether it exists but which account types it covers, what the grace period is per instrument, and what administrative fee replaces the swap.

7. Support and documentation

Support in your language helps, but the documents matter more: the client agreement, the fee schedule, and the account-type pages are where the terms you will be held to are actually written.

The main forex regulators

The strictest regulators of forex brokers are the UK FCA, Australia’s ASIC and the US CFTC/NFA, followed by CySEC and the regional authorities; the level of protection varies with the tier of the authority.

A licence is the first line of defence for a trader’s money. Regulators are commonly grouped into three tiers by how strict their requirements are:

Tier 1 — the strictest

  • FCA — Financial Conduct Authority, United Kingdom
  • ASIC — Australian Securities and Investments Commission
  • CFTC / NFA — the US forex regulators
  • FINMA — Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority
  • FSA Japan — Japanese Financial Services Agency

Tier 2 — moderately strict

  • CySEC — Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission
  • FSCA — Financial Sector Conduct Authority, South Africa
  • DFSA — Dubai Financial Services Authority
  • CMA — Capital Markets Authority, United Arab Emirates (formerly SCA)
  • JSC — Jordan Securities Commission
  • BaFin — Federal Financial Supervisory Authority, Germany

Tier 3 — lighter regulation

  • FSA Seychelles — Financial Services Authority, Seychelles
  • FSC Belize — Financial Services Commission, Belize
  • FSC Mauritius — Financial Services Commission, Mauritius
  • BVI FSC — Financial Services Commission, British Virgin Islands

Important: what matters is not how many licences the group displays, but the single entity you will sign the client agreement with, its regulator, and its licence number. Many groups list the licences of several entities on one page while a client in this region is registered under just one of them — often the one licensed by a lighter-touch authority. Find that entity’s name in the client agreement and in the footer of the registration page, then verify its number on the regulator’s website.

Full comparison of the top 10 forex brokers

For each of the ten brokers in this guide, the table shows the licensed entity that serves a reader in this region and its licence number, the minimum deposit as the company publishes it per account type, and the availability of a swap-free account. How to read the table: the entity column shows the legal company a trader in this region contracts with and its licence number at its own regulator — not every entity the group operates worldwide, because terms differ substantially from one entity to another inside the same group. The minimum-deposit column is read per account type, because a single figure never represents a whole broker. Verify the licence number on the regulator’s website before depositing anywhere.

9. Admiral Markets — Best for Multi-Asset Trading

Admiral Markets was founded in 2001 and is headquartered in Estonia. However, verification did not find an official page setting out the terms of an entity serving Middle East clients, and every documented term below belongs to the European entity Admirals Europe Ltd, licensed by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) under number 201/13 (company registration 310328, Limassol). That is precisely why the leverage, spread and minimum deposit figures are left as ‘Not disclosed’ in the comparison table rather than filled with a number that does not apply to you.

Admiral Markets limitations

  • There is no published entity serving Middle East clients, so no specific terms can be attributed to a reader in this region
  • Two independent readings of the same page returned entirely conflicting leverage figures; the site most likely varies its content by visitor location
  • The spread, minimum deposit and instrument count are not settled officially
  • At the European entity the swap-free account is unavailable to anyone who already holds a non-Islamic account, and an administrative fee applies to trades held for more than 3 days (one day for some instruments)

How to pick the right broker for you

Match the broker to your capital, your experience, and how you trade: a beginner needs a low minimum and a demo account, while an active trader needs a tight published spread with a known commission.

Which broker suits you depends on the kind of trader you are. Here is a quick guide to help you decide:

For beginners

Recommended profile: a low or zero minimum deposit, a demo account, and material in your language.

Look for a low minimum or none at all, a demo account, and responsive support. XM and FBS publish a $5 minimum, while XS and IC Markets publish accounts with no minimum at all.

For active traders (scalpers)

Recommended profile: raw accounts with a published commission.

The tight spread and the published commission are what matter. The Raw accounts at Exness, IC Markets and Tickmill publish spreads from 0.0 pips against a per-lot commission — work out the total cost, not the spread alone.

For EAs and algorithmic trading

Recommended profile: MetaTrader plus stable execution.

IC Markets, Exness and Tickmill all publish MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 support, and IC Markets adds cTrader and TradingView. Check the leverage model too, since several brokers reduce leverage as position size grows.

For Muslim traders

Brokers publishing a swap-free account: Exness, XS, XM.

Eight of the ten publish a swap-free account, and the scope differs: automatic and account-wide at Exness and XS, an option on every account at XM, and limited to specific account types at IC Markets, FXTM and Equiti. Admiral and Amana do not publish an Islamic account for an entity serving this region.

For multi-asset traders

Recommended profile: published share and index accounts.

If you want instruments beyond forex, the Shares account at XM and the Advantage Stocks account at FXTM are published with their own terms, and Amana publishes more than 3,700 instruments on MetaTrader 5.

For Gulf-based traders

Recommended profile: an entity licensed inside the region.

The UAE entity Equiti Securities Currencies Brokers LLC is licensed by the Capital Markets Authority (CMA, formerly SCA), and Amana Financial Services (Dubai) Limited is licensed by the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA).

How to open a forex trading account

A forex account opens in minutes across four stages: register, verify your identity (KYC), deposit, then trade on the platform.

Once you have picked a broker, opening the account is straightforward and takes under ten minutes. The steps are much the same everywhere:

  1. Go to the official site: confirm the exact URL to avoid cloned websites.
  2. Register: email address, password and country of residence.
  3. Pick the account type: read the minimum deposit and cost terms for that specific account, not the broker’s headline figure.
  4. Verify your identity (KYC): upload an ID or passport and a proof of address such as a recent utility bill or bank statement.
  5. Turn on two-factor authentication to protect the account.
  6. Make a first deposit: start small and test the system.
  7. Install the platform: MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, or the broker’s own platform.
  8. Test a withdrawal: withdraw a small amount to confirm the process before committing larger sums.

Worth knowing: complete identity verification before you deposit anything. Most ‘slow withdrawal’ complaints at reputable brokers trace back to incomplete verification rather than to the broker itself.

Warning signs: how to spot a scam forex broker

The clearest signs of a scam broker: no verifiable licence, promises of guaranteed profit, obstructed withdrawals, and pressure to deposit quickly.

Before moving on to the FAQ, here are the signals worth treating as red flags:

Red flags to watch for

  • No licence from any recognised regulator, or a licence number that does not appear on the regulator’s register
  • Promises of guaranteed profit or unrealistic return figures
  • Pressure to deposit large amounts quickly
  • Obstructed withdrawals or conditions that make withdrawing impractical
  • Missing company basics — the legal entity, registered address, or licence details
  • Fake or absent reviews on independent sites
  • Weak or unreachable support
  • Oversized promotions with hidden conditions
  • An unknown trading platform with no independent track record
  • Guaranteed investment advice or paid trading signals presented as certainties

Spreads and trading costs

Real trading cost = spread + commission + overnight financing. The spread is measured in pips and works differently on a standard account (cost built into a wider spread, no separate commission) than on a raw or ECN account (a spread close to zero plus a commission). For an active trader what matters is the total cost, not the spread figure alone — see the guide to forex brokers with the lowest spreads to compare cost structures.

Note also how much each broker actually publishes. Several of the ten publish spreads only at account-type level in a ‘from’ format, and some publish nothing per pair at all — which is why this guide records account-level figures and marks per-pair values as not disclosed rather than quoting a number from a third party. Calculate the cost on the pair you actually trade, at the hours you actually trade, because spreads widen around news releases and in thin liquidity. Costs that arrive when nothing is traded at all are a separate matter, and what an inactivity fee actually is is covered on its own page.

Minimum deposit

There is no single minimum deposit across forex brokers, and often not even a single figure inside one broker. XM and FBS publish a $5 minimum, XS and IC Markets publish accounts with no minimum at all, Tickmill and Equiti start at 100 on their entry accounts, FXTM at $50 on the Edge account, and Exness’s professional accounts from $200. For detail see forex brokers by minimum deposit.

Remember that a minimum deposit is not the same as enough trading capital. Risk management needs a balance that can absorb normal market swings, so start small on a live account after testing, increase gradually as you gain experience, and never deposit money you need for essentials.

Islamic (swap-free) account

A swap-free account removes the overnight interest charged on eligible positions, which suits traders seeking Sharia compliance, and an administrative fee may replace it. Eight of the ten brokers in our table publish one, and its scope differs from broker to broker, while Admiral and Amana do not publish it for an entity serving this region. For the mechanics and the Sharia criteria see the guide to Islamic forex accounts.

A swap-free account is usually enabled after verification or on request, and some brokers restrict it to specific account types or instruments. Check the grace period per instrument and the administrative fee that replaces the swap before opening, and consult a trusted scholar if Sharia compliance is a priority for you.

Trading platforms: MetaTrader 4 and 5

The two best-known platforms are MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5. MT4 is simpler and oriented to forex and CFDs, while MT5 is newer and broader (shares, futures and more analytical tools). Most of the ten brokers here support both, and IC Markets adds cTrader while Tickmill and IC Markets add TradingView. To understand account structures see types of forex brokers explained.

Beyond MetaTrader, several brokers publish their own platforms and mobile apps — Exness Terminal, Tickmill Trader, the FBS and XS apps, and amanaWeb. Pick the platform that supports how you trade, manual or automated through Expert Advisors, and that runs on all your devices, then test it on a demo account before relying on it with real money.

The best forex broker for each type of trader

The right answer depends on your segment, not on one general ranking:

Do not pick on a general ranking alone. Match the broker’s published terms to what you actually need — your capital, your trading style, the instruments you want, and any Sharia-compliance requirement — then test the platform on a demo account before funding it.

How we compared these brokers

We compared the ten brokers on five points only, each verifiable against the company’s own official sources: the legal entity a trader in this region contracts with and its licence number, the minimum deposit per account type, the spread and commission format as the company publishes it, the availability and scope of a swap-free account, and the supported platforms. Anything we could not find published on an official source is written as ‘Not disclosed’ and has not been replaced with an estimate or a figure taken from a third party. The numbering reflects our editorial assessment against those points and is not a recommendation to invest in any particular company. How a firm handles the risk behind a filled order is not one of the five, because the companies do not publish it; our page on A-book and B-book brokers sets out what can be checked instead.

Guides by region and level

Before you open an account

Check these five points on the broker’s official site and on its regulator’s website before you deposit anything:

  • The name of the entity you will contract with, and its licence number
  • The minimum deposit on the specific account type you intend to open
  • The spread and commission format on the instrument you actually trade
  • The swap-free terms: grace period and holding fees
  • Withdrawal fees, conditions, and published processing times

Frequently asked questions

What is the best forex broker in 2026?

There is no single best broker for every trader. The practical differences between the ten brokers in this guide come down to four things: the licensed entity you contract with and its licence number, the minimum deposit on the account type you choose, the spread and commission format the company publishes, and whether a swap-free account is available and on which accounts. Read the comparison table above and match those points to your own situation.

How do I know a forex broker is trustworthy?

Check five things: the licence from a recognised regulator and the licence number on that regulator’s own register, the name of the legal entity in the client agreement, segregation of client money in separate bank accounts, negative balance protection, and genuine reviews from previous clients on independent sites.

Which forex broker has the lowest fees?

Total trading cost is the spread plus the commission plus overnight financing, and it is not measured by the spread alone. The Raw accounts at Exness, IC Markets and Tickmill publish spreads from 0.0 pips against a published commission: up to $3.50 per side, per lot on Exness Raw Spread, $3.50 per lot per side on IC Markets in MetaTrader, and $3 per lot per side on Tickmill Raw. Work out the cost on the instrument you actually trade, at the hours you trade.

What is the difference between a Market Maker and an ECN broker?

A market maker is the counterparty to your trades, while an ECN broker routes your orders to the liquidity pool without intervening. The ECN model usually carries less conflict of interest, but its spread is variable and comes with a commission, whereas a market maker may offer a wider spread with no separate commission. Read the execution model each company publishes in its own documentation before choosing.

Is forex trading halal?

Forex trading itself is permissible according to most scholars, provided you use an account free of overnight interest (swap). Eight of the ten brokers in this guide publish a swap-free account, and its scope differs from broker to broker and from one account type to another, while Admiral and Amana do not publish one for an entity serving this region. Consult a trusted scholar for detail.

What is the minimum deposit at forex brokers?

It differs between brokers and between account types inside the same broker. XS and IC Markets publish accounts with no minimum, XM and FBS publish a minimum from $5, Tickmill publishes 100 on all three of its live accounts, Equiti $100 on the Standard account, and FXTM $50 on the Edge account, while Exness’s professional accounts start at $200 and the company publishes no fixed figure for the Standard and Standard Cent accounts.

How much capital do I need to start trading?

A minimum deposit is not the same as enough trading capital. Technically you can start with a very small amount because some brokers publish no minimum at all, but risk management needs a balance that can absorb market swings: the practical rule is to risk no more than 1-2% of your capital on a single trade, which is hard to apply on a very small balance with a standard lot size. Start with what you can afford to lose and scale up gradually.

What is the best forex trading platform?

MetaTrader 4 is the most widely used and suits beginners and Expert Advisor users; MetaTrader 5 is newer and supports more instruments and markets; and cTrader is available at IC Markets. Several brokers also publish their own platforms, such as Exness Terminal, Tickmill Trader and amanaWeb. Test the platform on a demo account before relying on it with real money.

Can I trade without a broker?

No. Trading the forex market requires a licensed broker to reach the global markets, because individuals cannot trade directly on the interbank market. Choosing a licensed, verifiable broker is a precondition for trading safely and legally.

What leverage is suitable for beginners?

For beginners, staying at or below 1:10 or 1:20 is the common advice. High leverage of 1:500 or 1:2000 looks attractive but cuts both ways, magnifying losses exactly as it magnifies gains. Keep this rule in mind: a 1% move against you at 1:100 leverage wipes out 100% of your capital. Increase leverage only as you gain experience.

Are there locally licensed forex brokers in Egypt or Saudi Arabia?

There are no locally licensed retail forex brokers in Egypt under the Financial Regulatory Authority, and in Saudi Arabia the Capital Market Authority does not license retail forex brokers. Traders in the region therefore deal with companies licensed outside their own country, and the practical test is the name of the entity you will sign the client agreement with, its regulator, and its verifiable licence number, not the number of licences displayed on the website.

How do I withdraw my profits from a forex broker?

The process is much the same everywhere: log in to your personal area, choose ‘withdraw’, pick the method (usually the same one you deposited with), enter the amount and confirm. Exness publishes that more than 98% of withdrawals are processed automatically and that anything not instant is executed within 24 hours; Tickmill publishes withdrawal processing within one business day; and FBS publishes request processing within 24 hours. Complete identity verification before any withdrawal request to avoid delays.

Disclaimer: everything on this page is for educational purposes only and is not investment advice or a recommendation to open an account with, or invest in, any particular company.
